2. Share Your Story

Have you or your child experienced harm in the education system? Sharing your story can help expose systemic issues and push for change. Submit your experience anonymously.

3. Volunteer & Join a Subcommittee

Want to play a bigger role in advancing education justice? We are looking for dedicated volunteers to support our work through one of our four core subcommittees:

Impact Team (Co-led by Gisa)

Track & analyze stories of harm in schools

Identify key trends & disparities in San Diego schools

Use data to inform advocacy strategies & policy recommendations.

Media & Social Media Team (Co-led by Casey)

Manage social media accounts and engage with our online community

Create educational content (graphics, videos, posts) to spread awareness

Help coordinate media outreach and potential press opportunities.

Community Relationships Team (Co-led by Marina)

Build & maintain partnerships with local organizations

Keep an updated resource list of equity-focused orgs & initiatives

Foster stronger community engagement & collaborations.

Workshops, Training & Resources Team (Co-led by Dhalia)

Identify key equity topics for workshops & training

Organize learning sessions for volunteers & community partners

Develop a Resource Hub/Online Community for deeper engagement.

4. Spread the Word

Talk to your networks, attend school board meetings, and advocate for justice in your schools and communities. Every conversation and action helps move the needle toward change!

Gift expertise - Share your skills in advocacy, movement-building, organizing, data visualization, design, research, and more

Gift time - Movement building and solidarity take time. Show up to support others, help at events, distribute resources, or assist with community efforts.
